A word from the Medical Profession
I appreciate the opportunity to read your ProFibe story again.
As you are quite aware, I have a lot of personal confidence in the effectiveness
of this product and appreciate the opportunity to add my two cents worth.
I believe Mr. Rumph has described his predicament and its solution quite
well. I would make no changes in that area. As far as my general advice
to people who have high cholesterol, I am glad to give that to you. Weight
loss is important for those patients who are overweight. I recommend a very
low carbohydrate diet (the Adkins approach) to allow them to reach their
ideal body weight. I believe low-impact aerobic exercise is also extremely
beneficial in the form of walking or swimming as appropriate. I recommend
ProFibe as the next additive step in view of its safety and minimal side
effects. If their cholesterol remains elevated, then the use of statin drugs
should be considered. This regimen is almost always effective for those
of us afflicted with significant elevations of cholesterol. Those individuals
with severe Hypercholesterolemia obviously need much more intensive medical
management, even beginning in childhood.
Thank you again for the opportunity to discuss this very helpful product with you.
Sincerely,
Daniel G. Knauf, M. D.
